Founder & Co-Editor-in-Chief Jen Ippensen (she/her) resides with her family in northeast Nebraska, where she writes literary fiction, creative nonfiction, and the occasional poem; consumes dark chocolate and copious amounts of cheese; and fosters an obsession with the color black. Originally from Worms, Nebraska, Jen has lived and worked in many places, from New York City to large and small towns in the Midwest. She holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Nebraska and has been named a Mari Sandoz Emerging Writer. She currently serves as director of an academic library and as a teaching artist with the Nebraska Writers Collective. You can find her at jenippensen.com or on Twitter @jippensen.
Founder & Co-Editor-in-Chief Mike Keller-Wilson (he/him) lives, writes, and teaches in Iowa City, Iowa. He listens to good, good podcasts and tosses around 175 grams of plastic for a few hours a week. He received his MFA in creative writing from the University of Nebraska and has published short fiction and creative nonfiction in Arcturus Magazine, Janus Literary, and Wondrous Real Mag, among others. In his day job, he teaches writing and dad jokes to a captive audience of 7th graders. He’s a sucker for puns and the blurry line between reality and the unreal. You can find him on Twitter @Mike3Stars or online at mikekellerwilson.com.
Founder & Co-Editor-in-Chief Holly Pelesky (she/her) reads and writes poetry, creative nonfiction and fiction. She is a sucker for something that reads well aloud. She listens for the musicality of words, the songness of poems. She also loves to jam out with her headphones in. She was once a homeschooled kid living in the suburbs of Seattle but has spent her adulthood in the Midwest. She is a graduate of the MFA Program at the University of Nebraska where she met this handful of writers she is happy to share writing lives with. She works in a library by day and afternoons as a slam poetry coach. She lives in Nebraska in a house full of boys. She’s on Twitter @hollypelesky or online at hollypelesky.com
